Privacy Policy for TonRoad Languages

TonRoad Languages is a language-learning application that provides text translation, personal dictionaries, flashcards, speech functions and an optional AI Teacher.

Information processed by the application

Depending on the functions used, the application may process:

• Text entered, pasted or imported by the user.
• Words, translations, examples, dictionaries and learning progress.
• Voice input converted into text using the device or platform speech-recognition service.
• Language preferences and application settings.
• Technical information such as application version, platform and installation identifier.
• Account information required for authentication, such as an account identifier or email address.
• Requests and conversation history sent to the AI Teacher.
• Google Play purchase tokens and transaction status when paid functions are used.

How information is used

The information is used to:

• Provide translations, dictionaries, flashcards and speech functions.
• Remember the user's language and learning settings.
• Authenticate users and protect access to online functions.
• Generate responses from the AI Teacher.
• Verify purchases and manage access to paid functionality.
• Prevent abuse, enforce usage limits and maintain service security.
• Diagnose technical problems and improve application reliability.

Local storage

Dictionaries, flashcards, saved texts, preferences and learning progress may be stored locally on the user's device. Removing the application may delete locally stored information.

Online services and third parties

Some functions require communication with external services, including hosting, authentication, database, translation, speech-recognition, artificial-intelligence and Google Play services.

Information is shared with these providers only when necessary to deliver the requested function, maintain security or verify a purchase. Payment-card details are processed by Google Play and are not received or stored by TonRoad Languages.

Voice information

When the microphone function is used, audio may be processed by the operating system or its speech-recognition provider. TonRoad Languages normally uses the recognized text and does not intentionally retain raw microphone recordings.

AI Teacher

Text, recognized speech, selected vocabulary and recent conversation context may be sent securely to the TonRoad Languages server and an artificial-intelligence provider to generate a response. Users should not submit passwords, PIN codes, TAN codes, payment-card data, banking credentials or other highly sensitive information.

Data retention

Local information remains on the device until it is deleted by the user, removed by the application or erased when the application is uninstalled. Server information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud and resolve technical or security issues.

Data sharing and sale

Personal information is not sold. Information is not shared for unrelated advertising purposes. It may be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect users, the service or the rights of others.

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect information. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

User choices and rights

Users may stop using online functions, remove locally stored data by deleting application data or uninstalling the application, and request information about server-stored account data or its deletion where applicable.

Children

TonRoad Languages is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children under 13. Parents or legal guardians should supervise use by minors where required by local law.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when application functions, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available on this page.
